At Vuuma Collaborations we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that any personal information we may collect is used properly, lawfully, and transparently. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, process, and store your personal information following the Protection of Personal Information Act No. 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”). This Privacy Policy applies to the website(s) and mobile applications managed/provided by Vuuma Collaborations. With Vuuma Collaborations as the responsible party for your personal information unless otherwise stated in the Privacy Policy.

Definition of personal information:

According to the Protection of Personal Information Act, ‘‘personal information’’ means information relating to an identifiable, living, natural person, and where it is applicable, an identifiable, existing juristic person.  

Further to the POPI Act definition, Vuuma Collaborations also includes the following items as personal information:

  • All addresses including residential, postal, and email addresses.

 

Type of personal information we collect

As a visitor to our website, you do not have to submit any personal information to use the website. The website is designed to only collect personal information that is voluntarily provided by visitors. Such information may consist of but is not limited to, your name, current job title, personal/company address, email address, telephone number, the reason for contacting Vuuma Collaborations and, the topic of interest.

We do not usually seek sensitive information such as data relating to race or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, criminal records, physical or mental health from visitors. However, where required we will obtain your explicit consent to collect and use such information.
